ശ്രീമഹാഭാഗവതം ദശമം കേരളഭാഷാഗാനം  —  അദ്ധ്യായം  — 14

ചൊല്ലേറും ബ്രഹ്മസ്തുതി ചൊല്ലുവാൻ പണിയേറും 

ചൊല്ലുവൻ പാപഹരമെത്രയും ചുരുക്കി ഞാൻ.

"കാർകൊണ്ട മേഘംപോലെക്കോമളവർണ്ണം പൂണ്ടു 

കാർകൂന്തൽകെട്ടി നല്ല പീലിയും അണിഞ്ഞുടൻ

കുന്നിമാലകൾകൊണ്ടു ശേഖരമതും ചേർത്തു 

മന്ദഹാസവുംപൂണ്ടു സുന്ദരമുഖത്തോടും 

പാണിപല്ലവമതിൽ ഭോജനകബളവും 

വേണുസൌവർണ്ണവേത്ര  ശൃങ് ഗശോഭകളോടും 

ഉല്ലസദ്വനമാലാലംകൃതവക്ഷസ്സോടും

നല്ലൊരു പീതാംബരശോഭിതമദ്ധ്യത്തോടും  10

സുന്ദരപദാബ്ജംകൊണ്ടൂഴിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന 

നന്ദനന്ദനനായ  കൃഷ്ണനു നമസ്കാരം!

എന്നെയിന്നനുഗ്രഹിച്ചീടുവാൻ വസുദേവ--

നന്ദനനായിട്ടവതാരം ചെയ് തൊരു തവ 

മോഹനമായീടുമിബ്ബാലകരൂപത്തിന്റെ 

മാഹാത്മ്യം പോലുമറിഞ്ഞീടുവാൻ ആളല്ല ഞാൻ.

പിന്നെയെങ്ങിനെ പരമാനന്ദമയമാകും 

നിന്നുടെ പരമാർത്ഥരൂപത്തെയറിയുന്നു?

എത്രയും പ്രയാസമാം ജ്ഞാനമാർഗ്ഗത്തെ വിട്ടു 

മുക്തിസാധനമാകും ത്വൽക്കഥാമൃതരസം 20

ഉത്തമപുരാണവേദോദിതമായുള്ളോരു 

ഭക്തന്മാർ വർണ്ണിപ്പതു  കേട്ടുകേട്ടനുദിനം 

ഭക്തിയോടന്യചിന്ത കൂടാതെ സേവിയ് ക്കുന്ന

ഭക്തന്മാർ അജിതനാം നിന്നെയും ജയിയ് ക്കുന്നു.

സർവസാധകമാകും  ത്വൽപ്പാദഭക്തി വിട്ടു 

സർവദാ ജ്ഞാനത്തിനായ്  ക്ലേശിയ് ക്കുന്നവർക്കെല്ലാം 

ദു:ഖമെന്നിയേ ഫലസാദ്ധ്യവും ഉണ്ടായ് വരാ;

ഭക്തിയുണ്ടെന്നാകിലേ ജ്ഞാനവും ഉണ്ടായ് വരൂ.

ഞാനജനെന്നുള്ളഹങ് കാരമോടന്ധാത്മാവായ് --

ദ്ദീനനായനാഥനാമെന്നെ രക്ഷിയ് ക്കേണമേ ! 30

നിന്മഹിമാനം പുകഴ് ത്താവതല്ലൊരുവനും 

നിന്നുടെ ദയയുണ്ടാകേണമേ ദയാനിധേ !

അമ്മതന്നുദരത്തിൽ അന്പോടു കിടക്കുന്നാൾ 

അമ്മയോടെന്തെല്ലാം ചെയ് തീടുന്നു കുമാരകൻ?

എന്നതുകൊണ്ടു വഴക്കുണ്ടാമോ ജനനിയ് ക്ക--

ങ്ങെന്നതുപോലെ നിന്നിൽ ഉള്ളതുപോലെ ഞാനും.

സൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഞാനായും നീ വിഷ്ണുവായ് രക്ഷിപ്പാനും 

സംഹരിപ്പതു മഹാദേവനായതും നീയേ !

വിഷ്ണുവും ശിവനെന്നും ഞാനെന്നും ജഗത്തിങ്കൽ 

വിജ്ഞാനം പറയുന്നോരെത്രയുമജ്ഞാനികൾ. 40

നിത്യാനന്ദനായുള്ള നിന്തിരുവടിയുടെ 

ഭൃത്യസംസർഗ്ഗത്തോളം ഇല്ലൊരു സുഖം നൂനം.

നന്ദഗോപന്മാരുടെ പുണ്യവും സൌഭാഗ്യവും 

നന്ദനന്ദന ! പുകഴ് ത്താവതല്ലൊരുവർക്കും.

ഉത്തമന്മാരായുള്ള യോഗികൾ ഭവൽക്കഥ 

നിത്യവും അന്യചിന്ത കൂടാതെ കേൾക്കമൂലം 

ഭക്തിയും ദിനംതോറും വർദ്ധിയ് ക്ക കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ 

മുക്തിയേ ലഭിച്ചവരുണ്ടല്ലോ പല ജനം. 48

It is very hard to describe the famous Brahmasthuthi (extolling the glories of Bhagavan by Lord Brahma) in my own words. But I am doing so briefly because these prayers are capable of removing all our sins. 

"My salutations to the son of Nanda, the Lord Krishna, who has the complexion of dark clouds, whose neatly tied hair is decorated with a peacock feather and a garland made of some Gun^jA beads,  who has a beautiful and smiling face, who is holding rice-balls in his hands, who is shining with a flute, golden stick and a horn, whose chest is decorated with a garland made of ordinary forest flowers, whose hips and legs are shining with the yellow silk robe and who is walking on this earth with his beautiful feet."

" You took the form of a beautiful young boy and incarnated as the son VasudEva to bless me and I remain incapable of even knowing about your greatness. If that is the case,  how will I be able to know your true nature, which is Eternal Bliss? Devotees who leave the path of knowledge or JnAnam  and  listen daily to the discourses offered by other devotees well-versed in those purANAs that teach the essence of VEdAs  through the nectar-like stories of yours and worship you with absolutely no other thoughts in their minds, win over you who is the one whom nobody can win over.

Those who give up loving devotion at your feet which is capable of fulfilling every desire, and struggle to reach you through the path of knowledge or JnAnam  is rewarded only with sorrow and nothing else. Only with Bhakthi, knowledge or JnAnam will be dawned. 

Lines 29-40

The attitude that nobody can win over me, made me very arrogant and I was blinded by this arrogance. Now I am in a very pathetic condition and I beg you to protect me who has no other refuge than you. Nobody is capable of extolling your glories. O! Treasure of compassion! I beg for your mercy. While in the womb of its mother, what all things a baby does not do? (the baby kicks with legs, scratches with nails, turns it's body upside down etc). But does a mother ever get upset with the baby for doing that? Similarly,  I remain within you. You become me (Lord Brahma) for the purpose of creation, the same you sustain the universe as Lord Vishnu and again you become Lord Shiva to dissolve or destroy the world. Those so-called knowledgeable people who see Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and me as different entities are indeed ignorant.

You are the personification of Eternal Bliss and there is nothing more blissful than the association of the devotees ( or servants) of you . O, Son of Nanda, nobody can praise enough the blessings and good fortune of Nanda and other GOpAs (and of all the people of Vrindavanam).

There are several sages or yOgIs who continuously listen to your stories with absolutely no other thoughts in their mind  and day by day,  their devotion was increased. Then they have attained liberation also.
