പുറയന്നൂർ ദശമം കിളിപ്പാട്ട്  --  അദ്ധ്യായം 21  

അക്കാലം വയസ്യരോടൊന്നിച്ചു കൃഷ്ണൻതാനും 

ഗോക്കളോടൊരുമിച്ചു പുക്കിതു വൃന്ദാവനം.

മോഹനമായ വേണുഗാനം ചെയ് തിതു കൃഷ്ണൻ; 

മോഹിച്ചാരതു കേട്ടു ഗോപനാരികളെല്ലാം.

സുന്ദരരൂപം കണ്ടും മോഹനവാക്യം കേട്ടും 

മന്ദഹാസവും കടാക്ഷങ്ങളും കണ്ടുകണ്ടും 

കാമദീപനമായ വേണുനാദത്തെക്കേട്ടും 

കാമസായകമേറ്റു വലഞ്ഞൂ ഗോപിമാരും.

ഭങ് ഗിയേറീടും കൃഷ്ണൻതന്നുടെ രൂപമോർത്തു 

തങ്ങളിൽത്തന്നേ  പറഞ്ഞീടിനാർ പലതരം. 10

"പീലിക്കാർകൂന്തൽ  കെട്ടി മന്ദഹാസവും പൂണ്ടു 

കാലികൾ പിന്പേ വനമാലയും ഇട്ടുകൊണ്ടു 

വേണുവും എടുത്തങ്ങു പോയോരു കൃഷ്ണൻതന്നെ--

ക്കാണാതെ കാണിനേരം എങ്കിലും പൊറുക്കുമോ ?

കണ്ണുകളുള്ള ജീവജന്തുക്കൾക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും 

കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ള  ഫലം വേണം എന്നിരിയ് ക്കിലോ 

മന്ദഹാസങ്ങളോടും പ്രേമവീക്ഷിതത്തോടും 

നന്ദനന്ദനമുഖപങ്കജം കാണ്കവേണം.

കാനനംതന്നിലുള്ള  ജന്തുവൃന്ദങ്ങളെല്ല്ലാം 

ആനന്ദത്തോടു കൃഷ്ണൻതന്നുടെ രൂപാമൃതം  20

കണ്ടുകണ്ടവർക്കിന്നു കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ളഫലം 

ഉണ്ടായി വരുവതിനില്ല സംശയം ഏതും.

സുന്ദരീജനമനോമോഹനരൂപം സുര--

സുന്ദരിമാരും കണ്ടു കാമിച്ചീടുന്നു നൂനം.

നല്ലൊരു പുല്ലുകൊണ്ടും പാനീയങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടും 

കല്യാണരൂപന്മാരാം രാമകൃഷ്ണന്മാരേയും 

ഗോക്കളോടൊരുമിച്ചു സൽക്കരിച്ചീടുന്നവൻ 

പാർക്കുന്പോൾ മഹാഭാഗ്യശാലിയെന്നതേ വേണ്ടൂ.

കാട്ടാളസ്ത്രീകളെല്ലാം രാമകൃഷ്ണന്മാരെക്ക--

ണ്ടൊട്ടുമേ മാരതാപം സഹിച്ചുകൂടായ്കയാൽ  30

പാദരേണുക്കൾകൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു  തൽക്കുച്ചങ്ങളിൽ 

മോദേന ചേർത്തു മാരതാപത്തെക്കളയുന്നു. "

ഇത്തരം ബഹുവിധം പറഞ്ഞു ഗോപിമാരും 

ചിത്തത്തിൽ കൃഷ്ണൻതന്നെ നിനച്ചു സദാ കാലം 

തന്മയിമാരായ് വന്നൂ, ഭാഗ്യമെത്രയും ഓർത്താൽ 

നന്മയിലിരുപത്തൊന്നാം അദ്ധ്യായം ചൊല്ലീടിനേൻ.

Chapter 21, Lines 1-8

During that time, one day, Krishna reached Vrindavanam along with the cows and friends of his own age. GOpikAS were enchanted by the beautiful music Krishna played on his flute. By seeing his most attractive form, by listening to his sweet words, by observing his enchanting smile and side-long glances, by listening to the passion-arousing music flowing from his flute and due to the effect  of the arrows emerging from the God of Love,KAmadEva,  the GOpikAs became exhausted.

Thinking of the pleasing  form of Krishna, all of  them started talking among themselves:

"How can we survive even for a moment without seeing that smiling Krishna, wearing  Vanamala (a garland made of forest-flowers) , adorning his hair with peacock feathers and  carrying his flute with him to follow the grazing cows? If all living beings who have eyes want to experience the most desirable use of those,  they should have a vision of the son of Nanda or Lord Krishna who has a smiling face and who casts loving glances. 

There is no doubt that all the living beings in the forest must be enjoying the nectar-like vision of Krishna. Even the divine damsels are in love with this  enchanting and handsome form of Krishna. 

Those who are fortunate to show hospitality towards Rama, Krishna and  their cows offering them nice grass and tasty drinks are indeed very blessed. The forest women also were suffering from the love-heat produced by  Lord KAmadEva and they cooled this heat by smearing the dust from the Lord's feet on their breasts. "

Thus saying different words like these, the GOpiKAs continuously meditated on Krishna and they merged with him. What a blessing was theirs! With this, I have finished narrating the twenty-first chapter.
