Where did Brahma hide the Paramathma chaithanyam

his is about a conversation between Brahma , Prakruthi or Maaya, Sanat kumaaraas and Saptharshis before the actual "srushti" or creation of ordinary humans. Earth is already formed from the Pancha bhootaas. It is important to note that Vishnu Bhagavan did not take part in this conversation. After he created Maaya and Brahma, he wanted to be only a witness.

So Brahma told Maaya and others: "I am going to create the first couple by dividing myself into two and then continue creation of  men and women through them. Vishnu Bhagavan's chaithanyam or power will give praanan or life to them and He will stay as witness for their actions. Now I do not want them to know the source of their power until they search for it through intense devotion and penance. Bhagavan gave me permission to hide Him where I think is the best place. So where can I hide that Paramaatma chaithanyam? What is your opinion?"

So one of the saptharshis said: "what if we hide Him at the top of the Himalya mountain"? Brahma said that they would  find Him with out much effort of their mind. It needs only physical effort. Then another Rishi suggested to hide Him in the ocean. Brahma was not happy with that suggestion also.
"What if we we hide in the moon or other planets"? asked another Rishi. Brahma told them that they would go to the moon also with the help of complicated machines, take images and show it to everybody else. He continued: "We have to hide in a place where each one can reach only with one's own effort. I do not want any proxy in the spiritual world".

All the four Sanat Kumaraas said in one voice: "Dear father Brahmadeva, there is only one place you can hide the Eternal Truth or God where they would never look for. That  place is with in them- in their mind! Very few will venture to look in to themselves and out of those,  few with determination, renunciation and commitment will realize the truth".

Brahma was convinced and hid the Paramatma chaithanyam in every one of his creation to be realized by each one by their own effort in one life or in several thousands and thousands of life!
Ananatha koti pranaamam to the Paramaatma chaithanyam!

Shathaabishekam

6/21/08 When is Shathaabhishekam celebrated? When it should be celebrated? We have heard about different versions of when it should be celebrated, when you complete 84 years, or when you complete 81 years and 10 months or when you complete 83 years 4 months. Shathaabhishekam is celebrated when a person sees 1000 full moons lives through 1000 full moons in his life. Since it is a mathematical calculation, there should only be one answer. Then how are we having all these three answers? (It really does not matter when you celebrate, but out of curiosity to know the reason behind the celebration, I did some research and I thought some people may share my curiosity. Of all the explanations I read I liked the one given below.)   Here is a convincing explanation based mainly on a question -answer series in Bhakthapriya magazine published by Guruvayur devaswom. For clarity, I am trying to express it as mathematically as possible.   Number of full moon...

Six elder brothers of Krishna

5/6/09 We all know that Prahlada was the son of Hiranyakashipu. According to the story in Harivamsha, Hiranyakashipu had another son called Kaalanemi. (Kalanemi appears in different demon forms in each yuga and gets killed by Lord. In Threthayuga he was Ravana's uncle.) This Kalanemi of Dwapara yuga had 6 sons who were the son's of Marichi Maharshi in their previous birth. They were born as Kalanemi's children becasue of a curse from Sage Devala. They were called shad-garbhaas and their names were Hamsa, Suvikrama, Krahta, Damana, Ripumardana and Krodhahantha.   These grandsons of Hiranyakashipu did not accept Hiranykashipu as their God and refused to chant "Hiranyaaya Nama" as instructed. Instead they did severe penance to please Brahma Devan. Brahmadevan was pleased and appeared before them and gave the boon they asked for. They did not want to get killed by any Devaas, Gandharvaas, Yakshaas or naagaas. After receiving the boons, they stayed under wat...
